10 years, 18 years and 20 years double increment / extra increment for West Bengal Government Employee / School Teachers & Staff.

In calculation ‘ *’ denote multiply and ‘/’ denote divide.

# 1. Double Increment for 10 years, 20 years on 1st July

**Formula**

Late Basic Pay on June = b, After first increment basic = f, Basic of July after double increment =B

Then, f = b*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else f will be next multiple of 10.

After double increment, final basic [B] = f*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else B will be next multiple of 10.

**Example: **

Let for 10 years double increment in July 2017, Basic Pay of June, b = 20860, Grade Pay, g= 4800

*Step1** : *Then 20860*103/100 = 21485.50 => 21490 [next multiple of 10] = Basic after first increment [f]

*Step2** : *Now 21490*103/100 = 22134.70 => 22140 [next multiple of 10] =Final Basic[B]

So * final basic* after double increment = 22140

# 2. **10 years, 20 years Increment on any day from 2nd July to 31st July**

**Formula**

Late Basic Pay on June = b, After first increment basic = f, Basic of July after double increment =B

Date (day) of this month is d, Number days of the month, N =31.

Basic of July after double increment =B

Then, f = b*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else f will be next multiple of 10.

F = f*103/100

B1 = f*(d – 1)/N if it is multiple of 10 else B1 will be next multiple of 10.

B2 = F*(N – d + 1)/N if it is multiple of 10 else B2 will be next multiple of 10.

Final basic [B] = B1 + B2 .

**Example : **Let for 10 years increment 18th July 2017, Basic Pay of June, b = 20860, Grade Pay, g= 4800

Then 20860*103/100 = 21485.50 => 21490 [next multiple of 10] = Basic after first increment [f]

F = 21490*103/100

B1 => 21490*(18-1)/31 = 11784.83 =>11785 [rounded]

B2 =>(21490*103/100)*(31-18+1)/31 =9996.31 =>9996 [rounded]

Final basic = 11785+9996 = 21781

So **Basic for July is 21781**

**Note:** It will **not** be rounded to next multiple of 10 for this [fraction] increment month.

Basic for next month **August** => 21490*(103/100) = 22134.70 => 22140 [next multiple of 10]

**Calculate yourself in http://www.biswa.net/salary-statement.html**

# 3. 10 years, 20 years Increment on any day from August to December

**Formula**

Late Basic Pay of previous month = b

Increment Date (day) of this month is d, Number days of the month =N, [N = 30 or 31]

B1 = b*(d – 1)/N [round in rupee]

B2 = b*(103/100)*(N – d + 1)/N [round in rupee]

Final basic [B] = B1 + B2 .

**Example : **Let for 10 years increment 12th August 2017, Basic Pay of July, b = 21490, Grade Pay, g= 4800

For month of August total number of days, N = 31.

B1 => 21490*(12-1)/31 = 7625.48 =>7625 [rounded]

B2 =>(21490*103/100)*(31-12+1)/31 =14280.45 =>14280 [rounded]

Final basic = 7626+14280 = 21905

So **Basic for July is 21905 **

**Note:** It will **not** be rounded to next multiple of 10 for this [fraction] increment month.

Basic for next month ** September** => 21490*(103/100) = 22134.70 => 22140 [next multiple of 10]

**Calculate yourself in http://www.biswa.net/salary-statement.html**

# 4. 18 years double Increment for on 1st July

**Note: ** 18 years extra increment facility is not available for all. As for example pass graduate teacher, Clerk, group etc can avail this facility but PG teachers will not.

**In 18 years increment Grade Pay changes.**

**Formula: **

Late Basic Pay on June = b, After first increment basic = f, Basic of July after double increment =B,

Previous Grade Pay = g and New Grade Pay = G

Then, f = b*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else f will be next multiple of 10.

B1 = f*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else B will be next multiple of 10.

After double increment, final basic [B] =B1 + G – g,

**Example: **

Let for 18 years double increment in July 2017, Basic Pay of June, b = 24260,

Previous Grade Pay g= 4100; New Grade Pay, G = 4400

*Step1** : *Then 24260*103/100 = 24987.80 => 24990 [next multiple of 10] = Basic after first increment [f]

*Step2** : *Now 24990*103/100 = 25739.70 => 25740 [next multiple of 10]

**Step3: Final Basic[B] =** 25740 + (4400 – 4100) = 26040

So** final basic after 18 years double increment = 26040**

New Grade Pay 4400, Payband Pay = 26040 – 4400 = 21640

**Calculate yourself in http://www.biswa.net/salary-statement.html**

# 5. 18 years Increment for on 2nd July to 31st July

Date of increment d , Total number of day in the month = N = 31

Then, f = b*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else f will be next multiple of 10.

F = f*103/100

B1 = f*(d – 1)/N [round in rupee]

B2 = F*(N – d + 1)/N

Final basic [B] =B1 + B2 + G – g,

**Example: **

Let for 18 years increment date is ** 22nd July 2017**, Basic Pay of June, b = 24260,

Previous Grade Pay g= 4100; New Grade Pay, G = 4400

*Step1** : *f = 24260*103/100 = 24987.80 => 24990 [next multiple of 10] = Basic after first increment [f]

*Step2** : *F = 24990*103/100

**Step3: **B1 = 24990*(22-1)/31 = 16928.70 => 16929 [rounded]

**Step4:** B2 = (24990*103/100)*(31 – 22 + 1)/31 = 8083.12 => 8083 [rounded]

**Step5: Final Basic[B] =** 16929 + 8083 + (4400 – 4100) = 25532

**Note:** It will **not** be rounded to next multiple of 10 for this [fraction] increment month.

So** final basic after 18 years double increment = 25532**

New Grade Pay 4400, Payband Pay = 25532 – 4400 = 21132

New Basic pay for next Month **August** = (24990*103/100) + (4400 – 4100)

= 25739.70 + 300 =26039.70 =>26040 [next multiple of 10]

**Calculate yourself in http://www.biswa.net/salary-statement.html**

# 6. 18 years Increment for any day on August to December

**Note: ** 18 years extra increment facility is not available for all. As for example pass graduate teacher, Clerk, group etc can avail this facility but PG teachers will not.

**In 18 years increment Grade Pay changes.**

**Formula: **

Late Basic Pay on Previous month = b,

Previous Grade Pay = g and New Grade Pay = G

Date of increment d , Total number of day in the month = N, [N = 30 or 31 according to month]

Then, f = b*103/100 if it is multiple of 10 else f will be next multiple of 10.

B1 = b*(d – 1)/N [round in rupee]

B2 = (b*103/100)*(N – d + 1)/N

Final basic [B] =B1 + B2 + G – g,

**Example: **

Let for 18 years increment date is ** 8th August 2017**, Basic Pay of July, b = 24990,

Previous Grade Pay g= 4100; New Grade Pay, G = 4400

**Step1: **B1 = 24990*(8-1)/31 = 5642.90 => 5643 [rounded]

**Step4:** B2 = (24990*103/100)*(31 – 8 + 1)/31 = 19927.50 => 19928 [rounded]

**Step5: Final Basic[B] =** 5643 + 19928 + (4400 – 4100) = 25871

**Note:** It will **not** be rounded to next multiple of 10 for this [fraction] increment month.

So** final basic in August after 18 years increment = 25871**

New Grade Pay 4400, Payband Pay = 25871 – 4400 = 21471

New Basic pay for next Month **September** = (24990*103/100) + (4400 – 4100)

= 25739.70 + 300 =26039.70 =>26040 [next multiple of 10]
